Campsite Description
The campground in Ásbyrgi has summer opening from mid-May until the end of October each year. The campground in Ásbyrgi is closed over the winter, from November to late April. Opening date is subject to snowfall in winter and snow melt in spring.
The campground in Ásbyrgi is split into 23 zones with combined 190 sites. It can host about 500 people. A total of 48 electric hook-ups (1500 W) are available in zones A, B, C, D, E, F, and H. Attention, in F only space 1-6 have electricity.
Note: Only one electricity box can be found in each zone. Each box has 6 plugs, one for each site. You can see the location of the box on a map of the campsite, which can be seen in pictures of the campsite. The boxes are marked there with a yellow electrical symbol. (We recommend that people bring an extension cord and a three-phase adapter)
Guests on the campground in Ásbyrgi have access to a service building with restrooms, showers, washing machine, and a drying closet. A smaller WC is located on the south side of the campground. Location for camper lavatory disposal is north of the parking place. The camper lavatory disposal is closed from September 20th.
No designated cooking facilities are available for campground visitors. Dish washing can be done in kitchen sinks next to the service building.
Campground reception is located by the entry road. During the summer season, it is open from late afternoon and well into the evening. Campground rangers can be reached in +354 8424364.
